General Background
It is a Chinese herb generally used for healing cold and fever.
Effects and Interactions
Flavonoids extracted from the herb have anti-influenza activities. Specifically, the herbal extract can inhibit the neuraminidase (NA) segment of influenza (Liu et al., 2008).
