Meaning:
Di, earth; ji, pivot. Di refers to the lower limbs where the point is located. The local muscle is thick, as an important area of the leg movement.
Location:
Three cun below the medial condyle of the tibia, or the acupuncture point Yinlingquan (SP 9).
Action:
Eliminates the obstructions from the channel, harmonizes the Qi and blood, eases pain.
Uses:
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, dysentery, edema; difficult urination (dysuria), irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, seminal emission; weakness and obstruction syndrome of the lower limbs.
Manipulation Method:
Puncture perpendicularly for 1-1.5 cun.
Notes:
The Xi-Cleft acupoint of the Spleen meridian.

Meaning:
Lou, leaking; gu, valley.
Location:
Three cun above another acupuncture point Sanyinjiao (SP 6), on the line joining the tip of the medial malleolus and Yinlingquan (SP 9).
Action:
Strengthens the Spleen, calm the stomach, regulates the circulation of the Qi and blood.
Uses:
Abdominal distension, borborygmus, difficult urination, seminal emission; numbness and paralysis of the lower limbs.
Manipulation Method:
Puncture perpendicularly for 1-1.5 cun.

Meaning:
Sanyin, three Yin meridians; jiao, crossing, meeting. The three Foot-Yin meridians meet here.
Location:
Three cun directly above the tip of the medial malleolus, on the posterior border of the medial aspect of the tibia.
Action:
Strengthens the Spleen and Kidneys, eliminates dampness, improves the function of the Liver and flow of Liver-Qi, enriches the blood and yin, improves urination, regulates menstruation, removes blood stasis, eases pain, soothes the mind.
Uses:
Gastro-intestinal diseases including abdominal pain and distension, diarrhea, borborygmus; diseases of the urinary system, including retention of urine, edema, enuresis; diseases of the genital system, including impotence, seminal emission, spermatorrhea, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, hernia, vaginal discharge, irregular menstruation, PMS; sterility, delayed labor; hypertension, insomnia, dizziness; beriberi, muscular atrophy.
Acupuncture Manipulation Method:
Puncture perpendicularly for 1-1.5 cun.
Acupressure:
Press for at least eight times, 10-15 seconds each time.
Notes:
Crossing point of the Spleen, Liver and Kidney meridians. Do not use during pregnancy.
